I Manifested My Dream Home Before We Were Approved for It

dream home manifestation thank goodness it's monday [tgim] Oct 26, 2026

I'm recording this episode in my PJs. I got my baby down for his first nap of the day, walked downstairs to my office, set up my mic, and hit record. No getting ready, no commute, no permission needed. That is the gift of running your own business, and I can't preach this lifestyle enough. If you feel caged in, or like you were made for more, you're in the right place.

This week I wanted to do a catch-up, because September was one of the biggest months of my life and career, and the biggest manifestation of all is the one I'm about to tell you about. So pour your coffee.

A September of Lifelong Manifestations

Kaila and I launched our book on Friday, September 18th, and we went bestseller in three categories before 8:00 AM. We've been doing launches for seven years, and the clients who stick to the recipe get results.

A week later we spoke at our client Janell Karst's Bold Soul event, and in between I got to tick off a lifelong dream: being on TV. Natasha Mills, a past client, invited me on her show to talk about whether working, entrepreneurial moms can really have it all. Sitting across from her felt natural, and I walked out thinking, "I cannot wait to have my own show." Afterward the video producer told us he felt he needed to read our book, and when I shared that our dream is a professionally produced video podcast, he said, "Let's talk, because I see something available for you here."

That is how it works: plant the seed, keep telling people what you want, and get clearer. I used to want to be the speaker flying around the world. Now I want the stage right here, with producers coming to my studio, a couple of episodes recorded, and then back upstairs to my baby.

How I Manifested My Dream Home Before I Knew the How

Here is where the plot thickens. I was not planning to buy a house. I had avoided talking to a mortgage broker for years because I was afraid of the answer. Jeff and I are both entrepreneurs, and I had a story that lenders wouldn't see our income as proven, even though My Aligned Purpose has made over half a million year after year. I didn't want to be told we couldn't afford anything we'd actually want on Vancouver Island.

Then I went home to Nova Scotia in August, and my parents said something that made me nearly fall over. If I bought a house with a fully separate legal suite, they would move out west and be our tenants. For ten years I've been asking them to move near me. I messaged our realtor, Amber, and told her we were house shopping. We were approved for $1.04 million, which felt great given where my expectations had been.

Our must-haves: a legal suite, a big fenced backyard with sun for our 90-pound black lab, a double garage, and turnkey condition. The first house we saw was a full-body no, and I felt a little deflated. Then Amber sent a listing that had already been calling to me, priced at $1.1 million. Above our max. I wanted to see it anyway.

Driving down that street in Mill Bay, everything in me said, "This is where I'm living." I hadn't even seen the inside. I filmed a video of me and Cruz in the driveway saying, "It's Sunday, September 6. We will own this home." Amber told me to cool it, because you can't let on how much you want it, and I told her it was too late, there were Ring cameras everywhere. The house had six bedrooms, a legal suite downstairs, an office tucked between our living space and the suite door, and a huge, blank-canvas backyard.

Holding Faith When There Is No Proof

We weren't approved for that price and didn't have the down payment for it. Amber suggested we look at other homes, and I refused. Every night and every morning I walked through that house in my imagination. I decorated the front door, woke Cruz up across the hall, and pictured the studio and a backyard oasis with a sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge. I never asked "but how?" I stayed in the vision as if it was already done.

A week later, during book launch and TV week, Amber texted that someone else had put in an offer. She thought we could stretch to $1.05 million, still $50,000 under asking, and warned me not to get my hopes up. I told Jeff money always shows up for us. Amber said we'd hear by 3:00. At 2:30 I closed my laptop, put my phone away, and went into a meditation, and I did not open my eyes until the ping.

It came at 3:01: "OMG, you guys, your offer got accepted." They took our lower offer, partly because we wrote a letter about raising our baby there and my parents moving across the country. When I saw the sellers' names, I got chills. Eleanor May is my nanny's name. Eleanor is my sister's middle name, May is my mom's, and the husband is Theodore, which is my dad's middle name and my nephew's name. I felt like my guides were watching over me.

Action Before Attraction: Nothing Is an Overnight Success

Some people who don't know me well have said it looks like everything is happening for me right now, as if it's overnight success. It isn't. My parents moving here took ten years. Being on TV is a lifelong dream. The new Aligned CEOs joined because we worked our sales process and our leads. The book took two years to write before it ever went bestseller.

I believe in the universal laws and the order they come in. Attraction is the seventh law, and it comes after the law of action, which is the third. If I hadn't opened up to my parents as tenants, texted Amber, carved out that Sunday, and worked my business, the money wouldn't have appeared in my bank account. It's both. I do the work, and I stay available for the magic.

How to Hold the Vision and Keep the Faith

If you take one thing away, let it be this: the ability to hold belief when the evidence isn't there is what makes someone a master manifester. Amanda Francis talks about faith as the number one requirement for the life you want.

So how do you hold a vision of something you haven't seen yet? Use your imagination. Borrow from what you've seen other people do, then build the story in your own mind and feel the feelings in it. I never pictured myself worried in that house. I saw myself grateful, watching my baby learn to walk down the hallway and having my parents on the same property. Gratitude, love, and joy are the highest-vibration match for your desires.

When the little gremlin pops up and says, "Who am I to double my revenue?" notice it. That isn't the voice of faith. It is the voice trying to keep you where you are, because familiar feels safe. I say this with love: you can release the reins, say "I don't know the how, but I know what I want," and remember that everything you want wants you back.
