How to Be More Magnetic in Life and Business

attraction marketing magnetism thank goodness it's monday [tgim] Jul 10, 2026

Have you ever walked into a room, maybe an event, a wedding, or even a virtual mastermind, and felt pulled toward someone before they said a single word? You don't know them yet. You haven't talked to them. But something about their energy draws you right in, and you know you want to be near them.

That's magnetism. And here's what I want you to hold onto for this whole post: somebody else could be reading this and picturing you as that person. You just might not know how to access your own magnetism yet.

What magnetism actually is (because most people have it backwards)

In six years of coaching women business owners inside My Aligned Purpose, I've heard every version of the story: magnetic means the loudest person in the room. The most polished. Center stage, perfect outfit, perfect words. I don't believe any of that. Magnetism is an energy, full stop. Everything is energy. People, plants, money. And as humans we are incredibly sensitive to frequency. You've walked into a house that just feels good. You've left a conversation feeling lighter and couldn't explain why. That's you picking up on energy.

Being magnetic means getting so rooted in your own energy, so aligned with who you actually are, that you start drawing what you want toward you: the right people, places, experiences, and things. It's the law of attraction, embodied. You don't chase; you become a match. The question is never "how do I get more people to like me, follow me, buy from me?" It's "who do I need to be to attract what I'm calling in?"

The three things blocking your magnetism

If that's not happening yet, something is blocking it, and I say this with love, holding your hand.

The first block is inauthenticity. Nobody wakes up planning to be inauthentic. But on a subconscious level, you create content because it performed well for someone else. You say things the way she says them because it worked for her. You get four people deep into a networking event being yourself, then meet the fifth and start performing what the first four seemed to want. People feel energy even when they can't name it, and that performance builds an invisible wall between you and the connection you're trying to make.

The second block is neediness. When your energy comes from a pick me, please like me, please buy from me place, it's just icky, and it pushes people away. There's nothing wrong with wanting clients. But creating an offer because you're desperate for people to choose you carries a completely different frequency than creating it because it lights you up to serve.

The third block is contraction. Keeping yourself small. Lowering your prices, playing it safe after a launch that didn't go your way, holding back on social because "what if I'm annoying?" That contraction isn't just shrinking your work. It's shrinking your energy, and people feel it. They can't pinpoint why they don't want to buy, but they sense the smallness.

Five ways to unlock it

If you were my one-to-one coaching client and asked me how to actually cultivate magnetism, here's what I'd tell you. Pick the one that feels most accessible and start today.

Get present in your body and create stillness. Your body is the vessel of your energy, and you cannot feel magnetic while you're chaotic, stressed, and living in your head. Breathe in for four, hold for four, out for four, empty for four. Hand on heart, feet on the floor. I do this before every podcast recording, every coaching call, every event. At SHE LEADS, the very first thing I do on Saturday morning is take the whole room through a grounding practice, because I know it sets everyone's magnetism for the day.

Focus on your fullness, not your lack. "I want a sold-out launch" followed immediately by "but it didn't work last time" is two opposing frequencies, and the thing you want carries the frequency of abundance, not lack. You also can't pour magnetism from an empty cup. A weak vessel makes a weak magnet. Sleep, nourish, hydrate, do the things that make you feel alive. Overflow is magnetic.

Be unapologetically specific. If I walk into a coffee shop and just say "I'd like a drink," I could be handed anything. Hot, cold, sweet, dairy, tea. I'll probably be disappointed. Specificity is how the universe (or God, or source, whomever you believe in) delivers. It's also how the right people find you. Trying to appeal to everyone is the truest way to connect with no one; the people you repel were never yours, and letting them select themselves out is a gift.

Let yourself be seen. Real magnetism requires vulnerability: showing the messy middle, not gatekeeping what it took to get here. People aren't drawn to perfection; they can't relate to it. When you let yourself be a full person, you become a safe person, and safe people are who others lean in to, tell their stories to, and hire.

Desire up your own life, not somebody else's. If your picture of success is actually that girl on Instagram's car and bags and spa days, you'll be building a life that doesn't motivate you. Kaila is magnetic building Kajabi sites and business systems; that's her lane, not mine. I'm magnetic doing this. Staying in your own lane, obsessed with your own life, is one of the most attractive things a person can do.

Magnetic marketing and magnetic rooms

Everything above translates directly through the screen. Energy is felt in captions, on camera, in your emails. Lead with your point of view instead of copy-pasting the trend that went viral for someone else. Niche down, not to an age bracket but to the problem you solve, and write to that one woman, because feeling understood is one of the most powerful things a person can experience right before they buy.

And in person? Magnetic people don't work the room; they're in it. One deep, genuine connection at an event will change your life faster than fifty forgettable business-card exchanges. Be the most interested person in the room, not the most interesting. Ask the person across from you, "How can I refer you?" and watch what happens. They light up, and then they ask you the same thing. We give, rather than take. That's the whole secret.

Magnetism is not a personality type, and it's not reserved for a certain kind of woman. It's the version of you that is fully expressed, moving from your most authentic, aligned place. You won't be magnetic to everybody, and that's exactly the point. Let everyone you're a no for step out of the way, so the people you're a yes for are standing right in front of you.
