Everything I Write Down Comes True: Our Manifestation Practice

biz besties manifestation vision Aug 14, 2026

This week we're sharing something a little different: a recording of a coaching call we did on creating your million-dollar vibe. It's all about getting really clear on what you want and aligning your energy so you're attracting the people, places, opportunities, and things that match your vision. And honestly, we can always use practice stepping into the women we're becoming, which is exactly why we wanted to bring this conversation to the podcast. Because who here has ever gone to post something online and thought, "I don't know, what's trending? What's that person doing?" Who's written an email just because you felt like you should write an email? That on-the-whim, hamster wheel energy is exactly what a clear vision replaces.

Your Energy Is the Heart of Your Business Vision

Before any exercise or strategy, we believe at the heart of everything is your energy. You can show up in person at brick-and-mortar events and markets, or you can show up online. It does not matter which. If your energy sucks, your business is not going to be successful. Whatever makes your energy and your vision feel inspiring and exciting to you will be translated into everything you do: your written work, your verbal work, the products you formulate, how you support people.

We always say, if you've woken up on the wrong side of the bed or you're feeling a little sour, don't even try to fake it. Either don't make the post, don't write the email, don't show up, or decide in that moment that you're responsible for shifting your energy and do something to shift it. Your people, your buyers, your audience, your clients, they don't deserve you when your energy's sour. Have you ever watched someone try to fake it and you could just tell? Energy doesn't lie.

The Neuroscience of Vision Casting: Two Voices in Your Head

Here's what's actually happening in your brain every time you set a big goal. Two parts are involved. The first is the exciting part, the big ideas part, your prefrontal cortex. It's imaginative, it's creating the dream, it's saying "yes, let's do this, let's go." At the very same time, your amygdala, your alarm system, is doing its job of keeping you safe: "No, no, no. That's too risky. Am I smart enough? Have I been doing this long enough? Do I have enough experience?"

That's where the classic self-talk comes from: what if this doesn't work? How long will this take? Should I even start? Here's what we want you to remember. Every single one of us operates with both of those voices. There's nothing bad or wrong or faulty about you because part of your brain questions what you're doing. The only person who can redirect that voice is you, and it's a choice of which part of your brain you're listening to. Picture two volume dials: turn one down, turn the other up. Even as mindset coaches, that cautious voice comes up for us every day. The thing that keeps us moving forward is the awareness that of course our brains will try to stop us from doing something unfamiliar, and we get to listen to the big ideas part instead.

How to Collapse Time on Your Biggest Goals

Collapsing time is really fun, and here's the trick. Take your big goal, the one where you think "if that happened, that would be freaking awesome." Close your eyes and picture the moment you find out it really happened. Maybe it's New Year's going into 2027, maybe you open an envelope, maybe you log into your bank account. For us, we're going to cross a million dollars in one year of revenue in 2026, so one of us is picturing the bank account clicking over to a million, and we can both picture the book launch night. Get into that feeling state. It actually happened.

Now the collapsing time step: you're standing in that future version of you's shoes. What's her new goal? Because you're not going to stop dreaming when you hit the first one. For us, when we picture the book out in the world, we immediately think "okay, great, now we go on a book tour, we take this show on the road." That wasn't the initial goal. The initial goal was the book. Then maybe it's hiring a team, then maybe it's Book 2.0. So the question becomes: what are we doing now to get there faster than we would if we waited for the first goals to be complete?

One more thing, because everybody dreams differently. Some people can vision ten years out and their 80th birthday but can't tell you what they want in the next three to six months. Some of us are the opposite. One of us finds it almost impossible to paint a five-year vision, because if you'd asked her five or ten years ago whether this life was what she wanted, she wouldn't have known it was available. What's available in five years? Basically everything. Whether you're a close manifestor or a far-away visioner, you can still go quickly with the collapsing time trick. And when your amygdala pipes up with "too big, too big," remember our motto: the better it gets, the better it gets. If your body feels panic while you're just sitting there visioning, that's proof your body doesn't know the difference between real life and imagination, which means it can feel the positive, magnetic state just as strongly. It's a practice. And if you're stuck on the vision entirely, remember that contrast creates clarity: if you look at your space, your bank account, your days, and think "I don't like that," you actually do know what you want. What you don't want is sending you signals.

The Day We Manifested Amanda Francis

We have to tell you the story of how recently this practice came true, fast. We both love Amanda Francis, the author, course creator, and podcaster, and we'd both really wanted to meet her. The morning we were flying to California, Nicole was frying eggs waiting for Jeff to drive her to the airport and said, "I just have this feeling that maybe we could meet Amanda Francis, and that would be the craziest thing ever." She wrote down "everything I write down comes true today," sent a voice note about it, and then we co-journaled on one shared page on the plane: wouldn't it be fun if. We wrote down Amanda Francis. Voice note as proof, journal entry as proof.

We touch down in California and go on a girlfriends' walk, and the woman leading it says, "Oh yeah, I invited Amanda Francis to come on this walk." She pulls up in her golf cart with her kids, strolling down Newport Beach, parks, puts the kids in a stroller, and joins us. Smoothies, walking, chatting. Nicole got to tell her she loved her book and had manifested her that morning over frying eggs, and Amanda said, "I love that I can be part of your manifestation coming to real life." It happened that fast. In a day.

The 3-Minute Manifestation Journaling Exercise

Here's the practice, and it has blown our minds every single time we've done it. Grab something to write with and start a new page. At the top, write: "Everything I write down on this page comes true." No timeline. This page is just for you. You don't have to share it with your partner, your kids, or anyone. Life, business, health, wealth, happiness, love, all of it belongs here. Treat it like a miracle page and give yourself three minutes.

Think of it as placing an order to the universe, or God, or source, whatever that is for you. It's like walking into a coffee shop and saying "I'm here for a beverage." The barista doesn't know if you want hot or cold, small or large, cow's milk or not. The clearer you can get on the ask, the more real it will feel when it arrives. If you're someone who compartmentalizes, section off little boxes for your business, your bank account, your health, your relationships, your hobbies. If you're a free-flow person, let whatever comes to you come. Both work, because we're all wired differently, and the move is to understand how you're wired and work with it. Stop resisting what you need to be successful. Just let yourself be.
